Waiting for the manifestation of the vision

November 8, 2017
A number of years ago, God began speaking to me about all that He has in store for my future ministry and the instructions I received, also confirmed over time about the part I was to play in what He was about to do. However, as time went on, the seeming delay caused all sorts of questions and emotions to raise their heads up and I have subsequently found the more I entertained them, the fainter the vision became and almost like a mist, the dreams and visions began to fade away.

Hab 2:1-3 I will stand on my guard post And station myself on the rampart; And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, And how I may reply when I am reproved. Then the LORD answered me and said, "Record the vision And inscribe it on tablets, That the one who reads it may run. "For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.…

The Matthew Henry Commentary says; "When tossed and perplexed with doubts about the methods of Providence (the protective care of God) we must watch against temptations to be impatient. When we have poured out complaints and requests before God, we must observe the answers God gives by his word, his Spirit, and providences; what the Lord will say to our case. God will not disappoint the believing expectations of those who wait to hear what he will say unto them. All are concerned in the truths of God's word. Though the promised favour be deferred long, it will come at last, and abundantly recompense us for waiting. The humble, broken-hearted, repenting sinner, alone seeks to obtain an interest in this salvation. He will rest his soul on the promise, and on Christ, in and through whom it is given. Thus he walks and works, as well as lives by faith, perseveres to the end, and is exalted to glory; while those who distrust or despise God's all-sufficiency will not walk uprightly with him. The just shall live by faith in these precious promises, while the performance of them is deferred. Only those made just by faith, shall live, shall be happy here and for ever."

The key to the vision being realized is faith, for it is our faith in God and God's faith in us that causes patience (fruit) to manifest in our hearts. We always want to see the promises manifest now, but God is not linked to time as we know it and when He promises something to us, He can be taken at His word, for we know, God is NOT a man that He should lie.

Learning to wait in His presence, is the door that unlocks the promise.

I once shared a vision on this website that spoke about the "Road less travelled" and when the Lord spoke to me about this particular vision which He had showed me, one aspect that stood out in the vision was the small cabin found on the single dusty path. In the distance I could see the candle light through the window and the Lord told me when I asked Him what this cabin meant, "This is our meeting place", came the answer. Over the years as I have continued to travel on this path, the course set before me, I have found myself learning to embrace this meeting place, the place of His presence, and most often would simply sit and without saying a word waited (lingered, rested and postponed) my onward journey until the Lord spoke and gave direction.

Initially, my focus was on the vision and not on the One who is the Vision. My personality tends to run ahead of God and most often, I would have to be brought back to the place of waiting so that Holy Spirit could rekindle (revive) the original vision in me. Impatience is a vision destroyer, it eats away at the very fabric of the dream, like a rat eating its way through a cardboard box, it won't stop until it the vision has been destroyed.

I am writing this to encourage those of you reading this who think that God has forgotten you, or that the dreams you have and the visions buried deep in your heart will never come to pass, and to say to you, God is God of His word. Allow your faith to rise up in you. Allow Holy Spirit to speak into your heart the very words of the Promise and choose this day to sit still in His presence, to wait, to rest and to linger before the Lord in your special meeting place and to do so until the Lord brings it all to pass.

Some will tell you that you have to do something more than to wait, but most often I have found, we simply interfere with the things God has planned for us and mess up in ways that only cause frustration. I am telling you to wait. My friend, if God has spoken, unless He has specifically told you what to do, waiting in His presence is the best thing you could do. God established the vision and He will bring it to pass. So, maybe it is time to step back and to be still and allow Holy Spirit to bring it all about.

Brother Mark, I have heard it said, "I have waited so long and nothing has happened", but oh my friend it has, for all this time, God has been at work in you and you did not even know or recognize that He was already at work on your heart, for in order for the vision to succeed, you had to be prepared.

May His grace continue to lead you as you learn to wait in His presence, for this my friend is the greatest part of the vision, God preparing our hearts for all that He has promised.

I am defined by Christ

September 3, 2017
It is not a law that defines who I now am in Christ, but rather, Jesus Christ himself. He has become my Yardstick, the means for which I am now measured.

Man would have you believe that in order for you to live a holy life, there be certain rules and regulations that you and I should follow, for in doing so, the teaching be, that we would then be able to draw closer to Him. However, this is far from the truth. The bible tells us in Rom 1:17 herein lies the secret of the power of the Gospel; th...

His glory and his grace

August 11, 2017
Well we can continue to confidently declare the greatness of God in us and despite the things we face, our God is good.

There are many times that we look around us and wonder what on earth is going on, and when we make these things our focus, we find ourselves soon consumed by them, yet, when we look to Jesus, we see His glory unveiled in such an amazing way that the battles, the trials and the tribulation we go through no longer seems relevant.

I can declare with confidence that we walk in pea...

We had an awesome time in the presence of Jesus and with the family of God at Sikeston Assembly in MO and saw Holy Spirit touch the hearts of people in such an amazing way. I love ministering the way we get to, to share the love of God with those we are sent to.

Sunday morning, we saw the Word of the Lord impact folks in the audience and on Sunday evening we had a real quality time as the Lord encouraged us to prepare our hearts for a glorious encounter with God. I am convinced now more than e...

Trying to keep up

October 9, 2016
Trying to keep up-to-date with all the news is sometimes difficult as we got a lot to share. Since we got back from the USA, we have not stopped running. After resting a few days, we left for Botswana and drove on up to Maun, which is in the north of the country, to have a look at our piece of ground and to get the first phase of our building project up and running.

Within twenty four hours, we had appointed a builder, leveled the ground, purchased the sand and stone so that we could get going...

What a journey

July 2, 2016
We live by our faith in our God's ability. Trusting in the Lord has and continues to be our life's motto, for we have learnt to understand what it means to live our lives in such a way that it pleases our heavenly Father. Andi and I have traveled over 8760 miles (14525 kms) by car over the last few weeks and have seen God undertake in ways we could never have imagined. When we started out, we did not know what we would see or experience and definitely did not know how we would be able to do t...

Sioux falls

June 22, 2016
Andi and I left Branson early this morning and headed out towards Sioux Falls. When we arrived in Omaha, NE, we were absolutely blessed to see how well the car ran, but more than this, we were amazed at how the fuel consumption had improved. We had completed over 545 kms (328.31 mi) and the fuel gauge was only on the quarter level.

Omaha was a stunning city, which is also home to the Wheeler-Sack Air force base. The city had an amazing feel about it and was also surrounded by huge farming comm...

So much hapenning

June 20, 2016
Well, for those who have been following us here, forgive the delay in posting regular updates. We have just been running and so many things have taken place over the last few weeks, that it was difficult to keep everyone in the loop.

We had an amazing time in Alabama and Florida and saw the Lord touch so many hearts during our visit. We had amazing times in Florida and got to spend so much time with many of our friends. When you continue to seek God, His heart becomes the reality of your life ...
