Child Assistance Program

Today, Andi and I went out to a town called Bokaa, about 15 miles north of Gaborone, east of the A1 highway on our ongoing fact finding mission. When we arrived in Bokaa, we stopped off and visited the Hope Mission in the little town and listened to them share the vision the Lord has placed on their hearts and found it quite interesting. Their facility houses about twenty young boys who previously lived on the streets and now are being educated, clothed and fed at the center. Pretty cool when you see people step out and help those around them in this way. I have always said, identify a need and do something about it. Never hesitate to do good, it pleases our heavenly Father when we do.

As we continued on our journey, we once again heard about children living by themselves who have lost their fathers and how difficult it has become for even those single mothers who are left to take care of and provide for the little ones in the house and this without the assistance of Government. Somehow they remain resilient and even in their poverty, have learnt to survive on virtually nothing. The questions that need to be asked is simply, can we sit around watch and do nothing about it? Can we live in our warm homes, knowing there are people around us who do not share the same comforts as many of us reading this blog have?

The reality is this, we might not be able to help everyone, but, we surely can help someone and this is where we are at, at this point in time. Andi and I continue driving around, meeting people, praying and listening to the Holy Spirit as we identify and seek out those areas where we believe we can be most effective. As part of our overall strategy, we plan to have a warehouse in time to come, a base in Gaborone, where we will be able to distribute food and clothing from, this way, we will be able to ensure that we will be a whole lot more effective.

At Mark Labuschagne Ministries, we rely totally on the kindness of those who support us, however today, we need to ask you who are reading this today to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you about helping us make a difference in the lives of someone in need today. Maybe you cannot go, but in your place we are able to be an extension of your gift and as you give a gift of love, we are able to reach out further than before. When you stand and watch these little ones, they don't know any better, yet they continue to have a smile on their faces. Yet, we know, through one act of love, we can make a lasting impression of these and many other little lives.

A small donation of 50 US dollars (R500 ZAR) per month can help us reach five children for a week. 100 US dollars (R1000 ZAR) ten children and 500 US dollars (R5000 ZAR) twenty five children. So, we are not begging you, we are simply asking you to reach out, share our passion and enable us to make a difference today.

If the Lord has laid it on your heart and or you share our passion, then we kindly ask you to please visit our gifts page on this site to sow your seed of love right now. We are not promising you anything in return, except giving you the opportunity to enable us to touch and impact a life today.... We also would like you to know that as Andi and I live by faith, every gift received, which is marked for a specific part of our ministry is designated to that purpose and if you feel led to support us financially, then we ask you to please mark your gifts as such. Remember, you can also make a once off gift mark for your specific wish and this will also be used accordingly.

We love and bless you and thank you in advance for standing with us as you have...
