Faith and Favor

Just meditating on this subject this morning, thinking about how our faith and favor are intertwined. Our faith in God produces favor and favor produces faith.

Favor of God

  • Provision - Ps. 44:1-3.  God gave his covenant people land that they didn't have to fight for.  He brought them into their inheritance.  Deut. 4:37.  This God did because He had favor unto them.  HE IS DOING AND WILL YET DO, THE SAME FOR US!!!  See also Ex. 11:3; Ex. 12:36.  The favor of God caused the Egyptians to give both silver and gold into the hands of God's covenant people.  Hallelujah!  That same favor can operate on our behalf right. The same type of favor is available to believers right now.
  • Exaltation - Exodus 11:3 - Moses was very great!  Ps. 89:17  (raised up; lifted up higher).  The favor of God will raise you up; lift you up; cause you to lift up your faces and be seen, that God's glory will be seen in you!!!
  • Increase - In all areas that pertain to life!!  Ps. 30:4-5.  In the favor of God there is life.  Life to any and all dead areas.  2 Peter 1:3.
  • Strength/Ability to Stand Firm - Ps. 30:7.
  • Protection - Ps. 5:8-12.  Cocooned with favor.  On all sides.  Compassed about; crowned with favor.

  • Faith in Action Heb 11:1-3 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

It is our faith that causes us to see and experience the goodness of God in all that we do. God's favor is unrestricted and bestowed on those who call on His name. As God is no respecter of persons and gives favor freely to those who seek Him. I truly believe the favor we talk about here is a result of our obedience. Worship forms an integral part of the Christ-life and produces favor through faith in the hearts and lives of everyone who believes.

Our love for our Father

Mark Labuschagne We are a vessel set apart, cleansed, emptied, consecrated; just standing, waiting every moment for God, in Christ, by the Holy Spirit, to work out in us as much of the holiness and the life of His Son as pleases Him We worship Him only!

Ministry Bio

Mark Labuschagne At the age of 12, God called Mark to ministry and for the last 44-years his desire to stay true to this calling remains his passion. It was in the desert place, the road less traveled that God gave Mark a prophetic voice and sent him to the nations. In his 30 years of ministry, Mark has traveled to 60 countries and has seen the hand of God move in amazing ways in the hearts and lives of those he was sent to. He has a special love for the USA, a nation that he has visited and traveled extensively for over some 20 years. He currently lives between South Africa and Botswana and is an accomplished pianist, a sort after speaker, a respected preacher and seasoned prophet who desires to see the Kingdom of God established in the hearts of people across the earth.
