Last night I had the opportunity to serve at the Lig n Lewe congregation at Paarl. Ps Henry Young is the presiding pastor and a dear friend of mine. I must say, I am addicted to ministering in this way and my heart is simply this that Jesus would touch His people once again. I am of the opinion that we are going to see the Lord move in a powerful way in our nation and I want to be part of that. I have seen so many people held back by the lies of the enemy and have allowed the lies of the accuser to stop their progress. It reminded me of one such example, in my own life, as to how the enemy would always remind me of my past and how I constantly would ask the Lord to forgive me for my sin, when one day the Lord stopped me and asked, "What are you talking about, what do you want me to forgive you for"? And I went on to remind the Lord of what I had done. Then in one loving way, he reminded me of the scripture, Isa 43:25 "I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember yours sins". When I saw this, I immediately accepted the freedom He gives and thanked the Lord for His grace and reminded myself and the enemy, of this promise.
Peter found himself in a similar situation. The Bible tells us when he denied knowing Jesus three times, after the cock crowed the second time, he broke down and wept. I think at that moment, Peter felt that his betrayal of the Christ was the worst thing that could have happened and wondered if he could ever have been forgiven. But then, in Mark 16:7, the angel of the Lord says to the women, "Go and tell His disciples, and Peter"... Oh, hallelujah, that he has been forgiven, that I hold nothing against him that he has been set free and forgiven (My own words). Jesus said, "it is finished" and my friend, at the moment, our sins were forgiven, we were cleansed of all sin and the Father said, "And I will remember them no more".
Peter went on to lead 3000 men to the Lord in one moment, when the spirit of the Lord had come upon him. So, maybe you are thinking that no good can come out of your situation or that you are a failure or even that maybe your mistakes and or your sin is too much for God to forgive. Today, I declare and prophesy over you the freedom and liberty that Jesus gives, and declare you are forgiven, that you are free and at liberty to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, knowing that you and I have been forgiven.
Go tell My disciples and (________________) put your name in here... that the Lord God has forgiven them and set them free to worship Me!
