New Year

After the dust of the 2014 holiday season settles, most people find that nothing has changed and soon find themselves back in the same routine in the New Year as the previous one . This is one of the reasons I encourage people to build in the now, the today, for in doing so, we honor God in all that He is doing in us in the very moment we stand in. Instead of trying to attain more than we already have, we would do well to remind ourselves of who Christ is in us, rather than trying to achieve the unattainable, we should set our eyes on the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right and of God.

I have noticed when we encourage people to look to Christ in all things, then the only person that is important, is the Christ we serve. If Jesus is not living His life through us, then we are not yet dead to self and until we die (lay our lives down) and surrender our hearts unconditionally to Him, then we will find everything we ever wanted is only found in Him and by everything, I am not talking about our personal needs (although this remains part of our life), I am however talking about Jesus being our everything, our hearts desire, our contentment.

When Christ is our lives, we will never need to live beyond Him, for He is our means, our life and when we speak to people around us, we point them to Christ through our lifestyles, for I have learnt when I surrender my heart, His grace fulfilled its intended in me.

May your 2015 be a year of surrender and not of self seeking. May it be a time of
relinquished possession and a season of fulfilment in Him.

Our love for our Father

Mark Labuschagne We are a vessel set apart, cleansed, emptied, consecrated; just standing, waiting every moment for God, in Christ, by the Holy Spirit, to work out in us as much of the holiness and the life of His Son as pleases Him We worship Him only!
