When facing trails of various kinds, we are told that we should do this and we should do that and to ask this and to ask the Lord that. We are given a lot of scripture to back up what some teaches believe to be the truth, yet, very little, if anything, changes in the lives of God people, and why is this? well, I am of the opinion we don't hear a lot of teachers teaching the church to die to self or to die to our ambitions and to set our minds on things that are above and not on the things of this age.
God wants to bless us, this is a fact. His word is true, and yes many of the scriptures we tend to use are indeed correct, but what our teachers might forget to tell us is, our God is a jealous God, and He will not share himself with another. We have to make Jesus the center of our existence my friends and ensure that your eyes remain only on Him.
When we look at a new born baby, that little ones eyes are only fixed on mommy and daddy, they only have eyes for their parents, they are fixed on the sound of their voices and identify themselves with that special and unique heart beat. How much more then are we not to fix our eyes on Jesus. We ought to stop trying this day to resolve our problems or to change our circumstances, rather, set we should learn to set our eyes on Him only, even in the midst of all the noise and all the distractions and disruptions and worship Him, believing that He is our salvation, He is our deliverance, the healer of our hearts.
Church, have we become a people motivated by the sounds and noises of others so much so that we no longer recognize and respond to the sound of His heart beating in us.
We sing our songs of praise, but when we stand alone, we remain empty. It is time for everyone of us, to lay our lives at His feet and remain their until Christ likeness manifests in us.
