Overcoming all things

We must see ourselves as victorious if we want to overcome every trial we face. A defeatist attitude will never bring about the change we seek and so to overcome, we need to see ourselves as living in victory no matter what the circumstances are.

Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,k neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord...

Paul was saying, "I am convinced" (
completely certain about something), that nothing, absolutely nothing, could ever overpower me because of the love God has for me. His faith caused his confidence in Christ to rise and increase and who more than Paul, who was beaten, shipwrecked, who suffered for what he believed in be not qualified to make such a statement.

Friend, many fall back and allow themselves to be influenced by their circumstances, but those who trust in the Lord, believe they might have setbacks, but because of Christ, they do NOT allow themselves to be affected by the many trials and tribulations that we all experience, but call the promises of Jesus to mind. John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Friend with a promise such as this, all we have to do is believe that if Jesus said it, we can have it.

Declare this with me today, "I am more than a conqueror, victorious in all things. I submit to the truth that is Christ in me and therefore believe that all things are possible".

Our love for our Father
