Reaching the lost

Reaching the lost must become priority in the lives of every believer. In fact, now more than ever, we must be seen as pro-active and not adding hearsay to the mix. It is vital that every born-again believer be part and parcel to this purpose and to do everything we can to ensure that the world is reached for Christ.

A friend of mine recently said, "We must be found practicing what we preach" and I have to say I am 100% in agreement with this statement. We can no longer wait for the Pastor to preach a message that will cause the lost to come running towards Jesus, we have to be actively involved in reaching those around us and to do so as a matter of urgency.

The reality is, 1000's are dying around the world every day without Jesus and we have to do more than just talking about it. It is for this reason that Mark Labuschagne Ministries is busy putting a team together to reach out into our neighborhood. If we want to see our city turn to Christ, we have to put a plan in motion that will help us accomplish this very task.

The proposal we soon will table will be as follows:

  1. To invite people to join our outreach ministry on a full time or part time basis and to mobilize them
  2. To establish a prayer team who will be responsible for seeking guidance and instruction from the Lord
  3. To establish teams across the city, in this way we will be able to reach the entire city in a shorter space of time
We plan to work with local church groups and existing prayer teams and will also host crusades wherever possible. Our ministry is currently hoping to put these plans into action very soon and we will be inviting pastors and interested groups from all over the city to participate in this outreach. We are of the opinion that we can reach more if we work as a coordinated team.

Those who wish to become part of the ministry team on a part-time basis can contact Louis Lubbe on 0828168133 for more information. Ministry teams will be posted around the city so that we can be effective where we are. Training will also be provided to ensure that each team is effectively equipped to reach the hearts of every person in the city of Cape Town.

A few years ago when the Lord sent me to India for the first time, I can recall how I cried in my hotel room as the feeling of hopelessness came over me. When you see over 1.2 billion people mainly Hindu's worshiping all the foreign gods that they do, you will understand why I felt like I did, but the Lord very graciously said, Not by power nor by might, but by My Spirit" and when I heard this, I realized that my vision for our city was not unobtainable, but in Christ, most definitely reachable...

Together, we can make a difference!

Our love for our Father

Mark Labuschagne We are a vessel set apart, cleansed, emptied, consecrated; just standing, waiting every moment for God, in Christ, by the Holy Spirit, to work out in us as much of the holiness and the life of His Son as pleases Him We worship Him only!

He has a special love for the USA, a nation that he has visited and traveled extensively for over some 20 years.
