See I am doing a New Thing

In Isa 43:18-20 we read "Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. "Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert. "The beasts of the field will glorify Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I have given waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My chosen people.…

While reading this passage and mediating on it, I felt the Holy Spirit say that the "New thing" we seek has already come. Jesus Christ is the NEW that the Old Covenant was pointing to.  Every prophetic word signified the coming salvation and how mankind would be changed through one man's act of obedience. Jesus is our New thing, He is our all sufficient one, the everything that we ever needed, it has all come through Him.

Many preachers quote this scripture as if there is more to come, that everything is still going to change, but in fact, change has already come, Christ in us the hope of glory (Col 1:27). There is nothing more to look for, and this because Jesus said, "It is finished" (John 19:30).

Many seem to find themselves in situations that need change, they find themselves locked into a system that unless something happens, the situation will remain dire, but the key lies in what we already have. In Christ, everything that we need is found in Him. Phil 4:19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

Friend, we see from this well known passage, everything that we need is found in Christ. God is the giver of life and His life is the abundance we found at the Cross. Our more than enough, now the Christ in us and so, even in the most difficult situation, Christ is the NEW thing that we need. In other words, our situation is already changed because of who Jesus is.  We do not have to go looking for what we already have.

We place our trust is Him and my friend, when you do this, you will find there is nothing more that you and I need to do, but to live by our righteous faith in Him. There is no new thing, there is nothing more to look for, for we already have everything we need. All we have to do is to surrender to the power of the Holy Spirit in us and see ourselves walking in the (new thing), the person Jesus Christ and allow ourselves to remain focused on who Christ is in us. When we do, oh the glory of God refreshes our hearts and opens our eyes to see what He already sees.

God bless
