Sounds of sirens

Sirens fill the night air as the wind begins to gust. Our telephone rings and we are summoned to the basement. Yes, this is what we had experienced during the night. In fact, watching the weather channel we were ready for every eventuality and were told when the phone rings, we should respond immediately in case a tornado touched down around us.Huddling in the basement we waited until we got the all clear and emerged unscathed. When we got back safely into our cottage, I said to Andi, "that was a new experience".

Andi and I were really amazed to see how the Americans got the whole weather thing sorted, and how accurate the predictions were, even the time of the even was forecast. I guess it makes one feel safe knowing these systems are in place and work.

Of course when a tornado does touch down, if one was not prepared, it would be an experience that would frighten the life out of anyone, but, I did realize, you can have everything in place, however, if you do not use the tools at your disposal, you could pay a nasty price for your decision.

Last night, I must have picked up a bug or had something to eat that really did not agree with me and reeling from pain, I had to endure the thirty minutes to go to sit in the basement waiting for the all clear. I have never felt so bad and my recovery has been hard and painful. But I thank the Lord for His protection and that I currently am feeling a whole lot better.

This week I have been preparing my heart for this coming Sunday, where we will be ministering at Jubilee Christian Church, Branson West, as we are expecting our heavenly Father to move by His blessed Spirit in the hearts of those who attend. I continue to believe the Lord has an amazing plan for this city and therefore remain expectant and excited to see what our Father is up to. What an honor to be part of the church in this time and to be used as an instrument in the hands of the Living God.

Thanks for stopping by and for staying in touch, we know that together we can make a difference in our world...

Our love for our Father

Mark Labuschagne We are a vessel set apart, cleansed, emptied, consecrated; just standing, waiting every moment for God, in Christ, by the Holy Spirit, to work out in us as much of the holiness and the life of His Son as pleases Him We worship Him only!
