As the seasons change, and we are about to see our summer months, South African’s will experience one of the most intense summers seen for a long time. There will be extreme heat waves especially over the Gauteng province and northern regions. During such extreme heat, even tarred roads begin to melt. There will also be heat waves and extreme temperatures in different and specific parts of the country.
 

The Lord began to speak to me in the early hours of this morning, and one of the things He shared was this seasonal event will be a sign to the Church, for even now; the spiritual temperature will be intensified and increased as part of the tempering, sharpening and purification process that the Body of Christ is going through, even across the earth.

These three things He showed me are going to be a focal point in preparation for the glory that is to come, first in the natural and then in the spirit, 1 Cor 15:46:

Tempering is a process of heat treating, which is used to increase the toughness of iron-based alloys. Tempering is usually performed after hardening, to reduce some of the excess hardness, and is done by heating the metal to a much lower temperature than was used for hardening. The exact temperature determines the amount of hardness removed, and depends on both the specific composition of the alloy and on the desired properties in the finished product.

Spiritual – Defying the powers of this age, a stripping away of any and all impurities that would cause weakness and division to remain evident in the heart of those He has called. In this time, the Spirit of God will manifest in such a powerful way as the time of separation has come to an end and the remnant gather in unity.

Sharpening is the process of creating or refining a sharp edge of appropriate shape on a tool or implement designed for cutting. Sharpening is done by grinding away material on the implement with an abrasive substance harder than the material of the implement, followed sometimes by processes to polish the sharp surface to increase smoothness and to correct small mechanical deformations without regrinding.

Spiritual – The Sword of the Spirit, the two edged Word of God (Heb 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires) an integral part of separation, causing the God in us to manifest through us.

Purification is the process of rendering something pure.

Spiritual – “As gold and silver are refined, so too is the Body of Christ been brought to the understanding that I have purified My Bride and am causing her heart to see the glory that is already within her. Her radiance is perfected through the grace I lavished upon her, arise My love, and come forth in the power of My name”.

2 Pet 3:14 And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.

So, the spiritual atmosphere is being heated up and as we pray and seek the Lord, know that God is tempering, sharpening and causing our understanding of purification to settle in our hearts. These are great times we live in, with great expectation. So Church we press in towards the goal, the end line, knowing that His return is imminent and near. Sound the trumpets, bring out the tambourines and worship in His presence, for the glory of God is at hand.
