THE JOB DESCRIPTION OF THE BELIEVER

Isa 61:1 THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,
61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favour] and the day of vengeance of our...

Understanding grace

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Friday, August 27, 2010,
Wow, I have just completed Joseph Prince's book, Unmerited Favor. What an awesome book and one I highly recommend, especially if you are not quiet sure what it truly means to be saved by grace.

Over the years, the word of God has been misinterpreted in so many ways, that I am of the opinion, many in the church today remain bound up by the religious teachings of man. And yet, God came to set His people free through the Blood of the Lamb that was shed on Calvary. Today, we are able to access Hi...

Courage is defined as the mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, to withstand danger, fear, adversity. It is staunchness of mind, of will. It is strength to face opposition, not to allow it to stop you. It is strength to cope with hardship. It's maintaining your dignity when its difficult to do so.

Courage gives you the empowe
rment of steely determination. It enables you to strive towards noble aspirations.Rabbi Pliskin

Here's my story, by Kathy Walters

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Monday, August 23, 2010,
Here's my story and my thoughts about it. I have only been to church a handful of times in the last little over a year, which is quite a departure from my previous 32 years of life, where church and ministry consumed much of my time. I have in the past, been part of many denominations, more "moves of God" than I can remember, and an ocean full of "waves of the Spirit". I considered myself a charismatic, unreligious, world changer and history maker. Everything from cutting edge rock wors...

Vision

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Thursday, August 19, 2010,
Mark, again we're on the same page, I saw in the spirit the other day how people were being released from a bad dark and dangerous prison. They where put in a bus and transported with a letter of release from prison. Then I saw them being taken to another prison with nice carpets, shops and all the nice things they longed to have wile in the other bad prison. They did not even realize that they are still captive and not free at all. They have just been upgraded to a better prison.

I see that...

Let my people go...

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Thursday, August 19, 2010,

After spending many years in the desert, Moses was sent back to Egypt with one purpose in mind, and this was to honor God. His instruction was to secure the release of the people of Israel and to lead them into the promise (Ex 3:7-10). The Lord had seen the misery that His people were experiencing and heard their cries for deliverance.

Ex 5:1 Moses, standing with Aaron in front of Pharaoh petitions the Egyptian leader, "This is what the Lord God of Israel, says: 'Let My people go'"... And as ...

Beware of the opinions of man.

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Thursday, August 19, 2010,
Man's interpretation of scripture is merely that, his interpretation, but those who are led by the Spirit of God, understand what Jesus Christ has accomplished for mankind, and all that we have to do is believe in Him. When we get to this place, the word of God is made real in us, for He places His laws in our minds and writes them on our hearts. You see this is a truth that no man can interpret in any other way, for it is this Truth that sets the standards for those who accept their salvatio...

Religious rituals destroys faith

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Monday, August 16, 2010,

Those of you who know me, will know that I am vehemently opposed to anything that is religious. For religion, in my opinion has caused many to fall away from the Gospel of Truth. The religious rituals of man has brought the church into bondage and continues to drive countless away from the true freedom that only Christ can give. It is for this reason that I believe the declaration I made at the turn of the millennium, "The Revolution Has Begun" to be just as relevant today as it was then!

There is something about Jesus

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Sunday, August 8, 2010,
I am so aware of His awesome presence that I cannot help but be overwhelmed by the very thought. I confess that He is my sovereign Lord and Savior and that I am nothing without Him. To some this might sound a little off, but it can only be understood when you have had encounter with the Most High God. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the risen Lord and as we open our hearts to serving Him, something is released on the inside of man that draws you closer than one could ever begin to imagine.
