WHEN ALL MEANS FAIL -David Wilkerson (Apr 27).

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Saturday, April 30, 2011,

To believe when all means fail is exceedingly pleasing to God and is most acceptable. Jesus said to Thomas, "You have believed because you have seen, but blessed are those that do believe and have not seen" (John 20:29).Blessed are those who believe when there is no evidence of an answer to prayer-who trust beyond hope when all means have failed. Someone has come to the place of hopelessness-the end of hope-the end of all means. A loved one is facing death and Doctor’s give no hope. Death s...

The misconception about the "Prophets" reward

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Wednesday, April 27, 2011,

There is quiet a lot of misconception regarding what the "Prophets reward" is and I felt that I would post this teaching in the hope that it  will help you to understand a little more about this subject.

An encouraging aspect of faithfully serving the Lord is knowing that we will be rewarded for all eternity. The loss of rewards, however, is also a possibility and even likely for many Christians living in these last days of apostasy. We hear a great deal about the former but not the la...

Interesting times

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Tuesday, April 26, 2011,
We are living in interesting times right now and our focus must be Jesus now, more than ever before. We hear and see the destruction all around us, the Tsunami in Japan, the Hurricanes, Cyclones and floods that come with it. The earth quakes and the season changes that seem to be taking place more frequently than we have ever seen before. The "End timers" are out there preaching and prophesying doom and gloom and many are saying the Lord is punishing these nations. All the voices saying so ma...

Reconciliation through submission

Barnes' Notes on the Bible

Job 22:21 "Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you.

Acquaint now thyself with him - Margin, that is, "with God." Eliphaz takes it for granted now, that Job was a sinner wholly unreconciled to God, and unacquainted with him. This fact, he supposes, was the source of all his calamities. As long as he remained thus unreconciled to God, he must be miserable. He proceeds, therefore, in a most beautiful manner, to exhort him to be a...

The problem I see

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Thursday, April 14, 2011,
We say we are worshipers, but when trials come, we allow them to affect us to such a degree that we will even think that we have to do more to get our heavenly Fathers attention. All of a sudden, we will pray more, fast more and go to a Sunday gathering, all in the hope that our futile efforts will provoke God to come and meet our needs.

We think that if we do the "right" things, He will come and deliver us from our iniquities on demand. We do this even though our loving Father is more than ...

Never follow the leading of men without following the leading of the Holy Spirit first

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Wednesday, April 13, 2011,

Luke 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am [Christ]; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. Jesus encouraged us to be vigilant and to guard against just following anyone, and that includes their teachings. I personally have chosen to spend time reading the word of God and allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to my heart rather being influenced by man... I felt it better to allow the Holy Spirit to guide me rather th...

Jesus is calling you

Posted by Mark Labuschagne on Tuesday, April 5, 2011,
My friend, today as you read this, the Spirit of the Living God is calling you... His love for you compelled our heavenly Father to offer His Son, Jesus Christ as  living sacrifice for all mankind. The call to repentance, to salvation continues to sound and there is a great emphasis in heaven on the importance of your life. It is for this reason that I have taken the time to write this down, and ask you with all humility, have you given your life to Christ?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world...
