Knowing is believing

Twenty years ago the Lord told us that He was going to teach us to live by faith. At the time, Andi and I never knew or understood what this meant and to be honest, neither did a lot of people around us. But, over the time, we continued to see the Lord guide us into a dimension of faith, even in its simplest form that has brought us to a place of at least understanding what the true meaning of "living by faith" meant.

Most of us, if you are like me, tend to look at our circumstances and try and add faith to the mix, but in reality, this is not how it works. God wants us to look to Him despite our circumstances and out of this His provision flows. Faith is not placed in Him for the sake of results, rather our faith is placed in Him because of who He is! When our eyes are off our needs and constantly held on Him, we see God move in ways we never expected would be possible.

Maybe our understanding of faith differs, but in our case, we know that when we made Jesus the center of our lives, we soon realized His faithfulness was never questionable. Matt 6:33
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. This verse of scripture remains an integral part of every believers walk, but one we seem to know, yet overlook. God wants us to follow Him unconditionally. The fact of the matter is this, God knows all things and understands the lives with live, He knows what we do and understands the times we live in, yet, and I say this with respect, He is more interested in our heart than our circumstances. When our hearts line up with His word, everything that we need, is met. God does not withhold a single thing from those He loves and all He really wants is our heart to be set on pleasing Him. This is worship in action!

In other words, we have learnt to surrender our hearts unconditionally to His and to focus our attention on who He is rather than what we need. When we worship in this way, the emphasis is taken off of our circumstances and placed on Him and at those moments, His love, the Truth of His word manifested in our lives and the needs were met.

So today, whenever we have a need, we do not have to make a big deal about it, we just hand it over to Him and rest in His peace. We remain comforted by the fact that He IS. So, take time my friend, to build on the relationship you already have with your heavenly Father. Take time to bathe in His love and to communicate your heart, not out of fear or our of want, but out of your sincere heart of worship.

We serve an incredible God, a faithful loving Father, who desires His best in all that you and I are. Remember, we are the redeemed of the Lord, His royal priesthood, his holy people, so come, minister in His presence and walk in the grace that only Jesus gave.

True freedom comes in knowing who we are in Christ...
