Trusting the Lord for daily provision is something many still struggle with. But Jesus taught us not to be concerned about these things, for our Father knows what we need and made the promise, "He will certainly care for you". Matt 6:30. At this point, all we need to do is have faith. Just place our trust in the Truth, the written Word! The Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing and as we hear the word of God, as we hear the promises, it is cemented in our hearts when we add our faith to it. Just by believing the promise, we already have received the reward. It excites my heart when God moves in such a wonderful way and as I see needs met, it blesses me because I see the result of the word in action.
The next step is to continue asking God. Jesus taught the need to ensure our prayer remains effective and Matt 7:7 started by saying "Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for". Such a powerful statement, and as He is the Promise, the result of our continued asking manifests in the natural. Just because we do not always see it right away does not mean that God is not interested in what we have asked, and sometimes things might take a little longer, but in the end, God brings all things together for our good.
I once said to a young Christian, start by asking for smaller things so that your faith can be strengthened. Sometimes I feel it is like practicing, the more we learn to do something, the better equipped we become to complete the task. My encouragement to you this day is to press in past your own understanding and to press into and practice in His presence 24/7.
The Fathers provision is something that will astound us and when we continue to minister to Him, out of our love, we release our faith and the result is found in God's promise. Friend, Jesus will never leave you nor will He ever forsake His own and I am convinced that when we approach Him in this manner, His glory will manifest in our midst. Just keep on asking (Releasing your faith), and as a result our faith will produce the promise. This is manna from heaven!
