And the temple was filled with the Glory of the Lord. My friend, just the thought of such magnificence stirs my heart. For I am motivated by the grandeur of His awesome presence and find the magnitude of this scenario (even if just by reading the word of God), extremely awe inspiring. Eze 44:4 tells of such an occasion. "Then the man brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple. I looked and saw the glory of the LORD filling the temple of the LORD, and I feel face down". When we talk about the glory, we are talking about everything our heaven Father is. The glory of God is His dwelling place, wherever God is, there His glory is. His glory is a representation of His divine character and His nature and everything that He is. When we talk about the glory of God, we are talking about God Himself.
In the Old testament, the Glory of God would manifest in a cloud. The pillar of cloud, protected the people of Israel during their time in the desert and manifested in various ways during these years, however, in the new covenant, the glory of God now dwells on the inside of man. Oh my friend, as I write this, my spirit is overwhelmed by this truth.
Jesus obedience on the cross has now made it possible for the glory of God to be transferred to everyone that has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, He now resides on the inside of every Spirit-filled believer who can now claim with absolute conviction and certainty lay claim to this awesome fact.
When we come to this realization and understanding, then worship takes on a whole new and different meaning. My friend, I am convinced now more than ever the Lord desires to demonstrate His glory and is looking for true worshipers that He will raise up and manifest Himself through them so that all men will be drawn to His goodness and everything that He is.
