The problem I see

We say we are worshipers, but when trials come, we allow them to affect us to such a degree that we will even think that we have to do more to get our heavenly Fathers attention. All of a sudden, we will pray more, fast more and go to a Sunday gathering, all in the hope that our futile efforts will provoke God to come and meet our needs.

We think that if we do the "right" things, He will come and deliver us from our iniquities on demand. We do this even though our loving Father is more than willing to touch us regardless of our misguided and religious attempts to gain the favor we already have. Friend, true worshipers stand on the Word of God and worship Him regardless of the things they face. In other words, they are prepared and ready to face anything that will come their way because of the intimate relationship they already have with their Father. They understand their position in Christ because they live in Him and have their being.

All the Lord is waiting for is for His children to rise up above the natural and access what has already been set aside for them through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The fact that so many scramble on deck when facing adversity only goes to prove that we do not truly understand our position in Christ. However, when we allow ourselves to be immersed in and by His unfailing grace, will we begin to see ourselves as the redeemed and live our lives in such a way that we honor Him 24/7 and do so without the need to become all religious when the "Needs" arise.
