1 John 2:1 "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may be without sin. And if any man is a sinner, we have a friend and helper (Advocate) with the Father, Jesus Christ, the upright one" If you are reading this right now, I trust that the Holy Spirit would touch your understanding to the point that the revelation of Jesus would touch your heart in such a profound way that your life would never be the same again. I have come to learn and understand that Jesus is the very reason why I live. I have no other agenda and or ambition but that my life would be representative of the One I serve. Living in the times that we do, I would have thought that this would be apparent in every believer, but and I say this with absolute respect, worship in this sense seems to be so misunderstood in the Church that it really amazes me. If Jesus is the reason we live, then, He must be the One we worship. In other words, everything we now become, is directed towards the One we honor.
Gal 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me". Through Christ, we have become dead to the law, to the world and to sin and now live our lives in honor of Him, the only thing that now matters is Jesus Christ and so we live as if this is so. We have become insensible to our surroundings. Paul said, the he became insensible to the Law and a means of justification; to the world; to ambition and the love of money; to pride and pomp of life, and to dominion of evil and hateful passions. They lost their power over him; they ceased to influence him.
This is what I want you the reader to see, now that we have been crucified with Christ, we have become insensible (No longer influenced by anything around us that would take our minds off of the Christ we now serve 'Worship') to everything else and only see Jesus high and lifted up. Today, Jesus is our Friend, we are attached to Him by His affection for us. He continues to entertain us for sentiments of esteem and respect, which leads us to desire His company and respond to Him with gratitude (Worship). My dear brother and sister in Christ, may our lives, which He has made worthy, be a reflection of Him, my prayer is that our worship would be true and reflect the grace that is Christ in all that we now are...
